Biography:

Cody is an Idaho native, born and raised in Bonners Ferry. He received two Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Idaho, only to return to the University of Idaho College of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2017. While attending law school, Cody held an externship for the Honorable John T. Mitchell, interned at a law firm in Coeur d'Alene, worked as a research assistant to Professor Benjamin Cover, was an editor for the Idaho Law Review, and acted as assistant to the U.S. Bankruptcy Trustee, J. Ford Elsaesser. After graduating from law school, Cody took a position as a law clerk for the Honorable John R. Stegner of the Second Judicial District of Idaho. Subsequently, Cody followed the recently appointed Justice Stegner to the Supreme Court of Idaho, where he worked as a law clerk for just over a year.

Before joining Jones Williams Fuhrman Gourley, P.A., Cody's practice largely involved defending both businesses and individuals in a wide array of lawsuits, including premise liability, personal injury, professional malpractice, contract disputes, and construction defect actions. As an attorney at Jones Williams Fuhrman Gourley, P.A., Cody has now expanded his practice beyond civil defense. Cody understands that diligent and ardent representation is crucial and approaches litigation with pragmatism in order to secure the most favorable outcome for his clients.

In his free time, Cody enjoys playing sports, skiing, hiking, camping, and exploring the great State of Idaho.
