TODD J. WINEGAR ♦ Of Counsel Todd J. Winegar currently practices in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration, business law, taxation law, and real estate law.

Born and raised in Ontario, Oregon, Todd attended Brigham Young University and graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Todd obtained his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Arkansas in 1998, and his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Washington in 2001.

A member of the Idaho State Bar Association and the Oregon State Bar Association, Todd has been in private practice since 1998 and is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of Oregon and Idaho and the United States District Courts of Oregon and Idaho. Todd joined Trout Jones Gledhill Fuhrman, P.A. in 2007 because of the firm's "strong reputation in the community, its professional approach to practicing law, and the collegial relationship expressed between the attorneys."

Todd has represented a variety of business clients from start-up to conclusion by assisting his clients to set-up their operating entities, counseling them as their businesses grow and develop, and by representing them in the sale or succession of their businesses. Todd represents numerous manufacturing and service-related businesses. Todd also has a background in agriculture and represents many farmers and ranchers throughout Oregon and Idaho. He has supported the communities in which he has lived by formerly serving on the Board for the Mountain River Chapter of the Red Cross and the Deschutes County Public Library Foundation. Todd has also served on the Investment Committee for the Central Oregon Community College Foundation. Todd presently serves as a member of the Boise Estate Planning Council and the Treasure Valley Estate Planning Counsel. He also serves as a Boy Scout leader in Boise.

Todd Winegar is particularly gifted in assisting clients through the challenges of estate planning, the often-times daunting tax implications, and the decisions surrounding the transition of assets from one generation to another. He brings an understandable and approachable manner to the practice, assisting each client through the process of personal decisions with expert knowledge and respect.
