After graduating from the University of Idaho in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Vicky decided that a degree in law would allow her to combine her love for research, writing, legal analysis, and clear communication. She enrolled in the University of Idaho College of Law where she served as the Vice-President of the American Bar Association/Law Student Division, acted as a Library and Research Assistant, and held memberships in the Delta Theta Phi National Legal Fraternity, Environmental Law Society, and Women's Law Caucus.
Vicky obtained her Juris Doctorate in 1999 and, following graduation, began clerking for United States District Court Judge, Edward J. Lodge. Vicky's clerkship allowed her to further develop, practice, and utilize her research and writing skills while observing and interacting with jurors and experienced litigators. In 2001, Vicky left the Federal Court to begin practicing with Rory Jones, Steve Gledhill and Bill Fuhrman. The firm's merger with Kim Trout in 2006 provided Vicky with the opportunity to expand her practice into the area of construction litigation.
Admitted to practice in all courts of the State of Idaho and the United States District Courts of Idaho, Vicky has also been admitted (pro hac vice) and appeared in the Courts of Alaska, Montana and Utah. Vicky is a member of the Idaho State Bar Association and the American Bar Association with forum memberships in Litigation and Construction. Vicky volunteers her time as a member of the Institutional Review Board for St. Luke's Regional Medical Center.
Raised on a third-generation family farm in Buhl, Idaho, Vicky understands that personal and professional success is directly attributable to loyalty, honesty, hard work and dedication. She is perceptive and down-to-earth, with client satisfaction serving as her highest priority. As she states, "My goal is to work with clients to assist them in understanding their rights. I believe that it is important for my clients to understand how the law affects their options. I want my clients to know the strengths and weaknesses of their cases so they can make reasonable and educated decisions in resolving their disputes, whether such resolution is reached through negotiated settlement or trial."
